Overview
The Carla B. Hughes Memorial Dance Grant offers merit-based grants for Erie County dancers, instructors, and choreographers. This new program recognizes the immeasurable impact Ms. Hughes had on the Erie dance community. This inaugural cycle will award one $500 grant for dancers and one $1,000 grant for instructors and choreographers.
Eligible use of grant funding is unrestricted, meaning the grantee can use the funds as they see fit.
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be a practicing dance/movement artist creating original work with a demonstrated commitment to advancing their professional creative career.
- Be a legal resident of Erie County.
